Facilities at Ropley Parish Hall

The accommodation comprises 2 halls (large & small) plus a shared kitchen, plus a back stage room which can be hired for small meetings. The toilets include baby changing and disabled facilities. The rooms can be hired individually but when the whole building is hired the back stage room should only be used if needed for storage or as a green room.

The premises are licensed by East Hampshire District Council (EHDC). The total number of people allowed on the premises is 180 (standing) but the seating limit is 120. In practice you can sit 100 people comfortably in the large hall in theatre layout, somewhat less if people are sat round tables for a quiz or to eat a meal.

Included in the hire charge are the following

21 large Go-Pak folding tables to seat 6 to 8 people
4 smaller tables and 2 card tables.
85 Stacking plastic chairs
50 Padded chairs
20 small chairs & 9 intermediate sized chairs (blue)
Free Wi-Fi throughout the building

All tables plus the blue chairs are stored in the walk in cupboard accessed from small hall.
All other chairs stored in cupboard at the front of the large hall to the left of the entrance door.

The licence also allows for staging of theatre productions, the showing of films or the provision of music. The management committee additionally holds a Performing Rights Society licence so that music can be played.

The management committee also hold a licence that allows the sale of alcohol on the premises. At the management committee’s discretion this can be made available for individual hires – but this is not automatic and has to be requested at the time of booking.

The hall is surrounded by a large car park (36 places including 2 disabled bays), should this become full, overflow parking for at least another 35 vehicles is available up a single file track at the rear of the hall past the sports pavilion. Please note that the hall committee does not own or manage the car parks – they are the responsibility of Ropley Parish Council.

Kitchen

The kitchen is shared between the two halls. It is equipped with a Lincat water boiler, range cooker, microwave, a fridge/freezer and a professional washing-up machine. Cutlery, plates, cups and saucers are also available.
